Information Collected, Maintained And Communicated By SageVest
SageVest collects a wide array of personal and financial information as necessary to support the investment management and financial advisory services that we render to you. This information is maintained in our files so that we may provide the highest level of service to you with knowledge of pertinent information.
Our services may include establishing investment accounts on your behalf. In doing so, we adhere to Federal laws which require financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each individual who opens an account. Information typically requested includes your name, address, tax identification number, date of birth, driver’s license number, citizenship, etc. We may also request to see your driver’s license or other identifying information as required by Federal law.
Sharing Information With Affiliate Financial Services Companies
As part of the services we offer, we are often required to share your personal and financial information with affiliated financial service companies. Such companies include your account custodian broker, and as reasonably needed to provide you with the investment and broader financial planning services that you have engaged us to perform. However, in all such instances, we restrict access to your personal and financial information to those employees who have a reasonable need to obtain such information as necessary to provide such services.
Sharing Information With Unaffiliated Third Parties
We will not disclose any personal information about you or your accounts to any unaffiliated third parties unless one of the following conditions is met:
- We receive your prior written consent;
- We believe (based upon written or verbal communication from you) that the recipient is your authorized representative; or,
- We are required by law to disclose information.
How Do We Protect Your Personal Information?
Our company and each of our employees adhere to a number of administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to ensure the security and confidentiality of all client records and information.
The majority of the information that we retain is stored electronically on servers located at secure and guarded facilities offsite. All information transmissions are encrypted and firewall protected, and all information is backed-up on a daily basis utilizing redundant back-up systems. Any additional physical information is securely stored in our offices or discarded only after being shredded. All third parties that perform services for us obtain limited access to information on an as-needed basis and are required, under contract, to keep all information confidential.
